Why are Siberians hypoallergenic?
The best theory out there is that Siberians have a lower Fel d1 level than ordinary cats. Fel d1 is the protein found in the saliva that triggers allergic reactions in people. There is a study that has been commissioned by the University of California, at Davis, to study this mystery. The results are still a few years away, but this will be the first controlled study of its kind. However, there are hundreds of testimonials of people who are aller-gic to other breeds of cats, yet they are able to have Siberians as pets!

What is the difference between pet quality and breeder/show quality?
A breeder/show quality kitten must meet strict physical breed standards set forth by the various cat associations (such as TICA - The International Cat Association). The kittens that meet these standards may be used in breeding programs to maintain or improve the breed. Kittens are assessed for type and color at 6 to 7 weeks of age, and are priced at that time. Kittens sold as pets are sold without breeding rights and must be spayed or neutered.

Is there a personality difference between a male and female cat as a pet?
An individual cat's personality is the result of genetics and the environment in which the kitten is raised. We socialize our kittens from birth and provide human contact on a daily basis. Both males and females, especially after being altered, make excellent pets.

How are our kittens socialized?
Our kittens and cats never see a cage. The first few weeks the kittens live with their mother in a birthing area. We handle them every day to get them used to human con-tact. When they are five to six weeks they get the run of the nursery with lots of kitty-proof toys and multi-level cat trees. By eight weeks of age, they have the run of the house so they can get used to the sights and sounds of a household

How much does a Masquerade Siberian cost?

What are the benefits of getting two kittens?
We feel it is a great idea to buy two kittens for several reasons. The transition to your home will be less stressful because they will be able to comfort each other. The kittens will never be lonely when no one is home. Siberians really seem to like other animals, especially other siberians. Much of the time, our cats act like a pride of lions- playing and napping together. We are so happy to place two kittens together that we offer $150 off the second kitten and free shipping in the US or discounted international shipping for two kittens.
